It brings a smile to your face. Drive it and you feel like a kid who has just got his license. Look at it and it makes your insides squirm with excitement. This Alto is the product of falling in love with a machine. Everything has been so tastefully done.
The Outside:
The world has become boring; devoid of any colors or personality where everyone pretends to fit-in and be ‘normal.’ This bright yellow Alto says FU to every other car on the road. Even though it looks fresh, it still has that old-school charm. The Canary Yellow paint is from the Palio S10 and it is just the perfect shade. Those stunning white 13’ wheels are from the Baleno and they complement the paint. It is also lowered by 15 mm for that perfect stance!
The Inside:
No center-mounted screen on the dash, but a yellow scale-model of the Alto is the first thing you notice. Yellow stitching on the seats, yellow seat-belts and a Suzuki decal on the windscreen is the stuff you can do on the Porsche configurator. The tach borrowed from the WagonR adds to the driving experience as this is a NA engine. The steering-wheel is borrowed from the Baleno and it suits the car.
Performance:
The Alto is so light-weight (around 750 kg) that it does not need much power. It has a BMC Air Filter and NGK Iridium spark plugs. It also has headers and a full-system free-flow exhaust from Automech. All these mods are just like sprinkling some coffee powder on top of your cup of coffee. They make the coffee taste better!
Driving Dynamics:
As if the Alto wasn’t low enough, the lowering springs give it a proper go-kart vibe. You cannot help but smile while driving this cute hatch. The gear-shifts are perfect, the steering is direct and the power is juust enough to have fun. It’s all mechanical and you are in control of the car. It gets a lot of looks as people just love to see something so vibrant on the road.
This car reiterates the fact that you don’t always need a Porsche to have fun while driving. Sometimes, driving nirvana can also be found in a car as simple as the Alto.
